To start off on the right foot

As soon as your cat(s) arrives in your home, it is a good idea to:

• Offer pâté to which you can add, if necessary, up to about 15% of Shungite Excellium water or broth made from Shungite Excellium water (See article Optimal Hydration).
• Introduce new foods very gradually to avoid diarrhea or digestive problems.
• Put two bowls of water in different places.
• Choose quality food. It will not cost you more in the long run since it will be better absorbed. If you want to cook balanced meals for your cat, ask your veterinarian for homemade veterinarian-approved recipes.
• See a veterinarian to ensure your cat’s health, and do not hesitate to vaccinate and deworm it, as appropriate. Seek preventive advice and have exams annually (more frequently for older cats). Blood tests and X-ray examinations are highly recommended.
• If you have a dog at home, ensure your cat cannot access its food.
• Do not exceed caloric needs; kibble leads to obesity after a while because satiety is more challenging to assess in cats.
